About the Iola-Scandinavia School District
The students in the Iola-Scandinavia School District attend school in two buildings: one building
houses students in 4K-Grade 6 and the other houses students in grades 7-12. Both schools feature
multiple computer labs with up-to-date technology. In 2000 the community built an addition that
included a Community Fitness and Aquatic Center that is owned and operated by the school district.
In the high school, grades 9-12, there is one computer for every student. Students have access to
courses from other high schools, technical colleges, and universities via the K-12 Schools/College
Alliance for Distance Education (KSCADE) Network. The school district has a school forest with great
potential for educational opportunities to be experienced by our students.
The Iola-Scandinavia School District covers approximately 134 square miles of Waupaca and
Portage Counties. It has a district-wide population of 3,500. It is located approximately 14 miles
north of Waupaca, 20 miles east of Stevens Point, and 40 miles west of Appleton.
