WELCOME!

Iola-Scandinavia Elementary School has approximately 405 students enrolled for the 2010-11 school year.

We have 3 sections of grades 4 year old kindergarten, 5K-4, 6th and 2 sections of 5th. Our class sizes range from 14 to 24 students per classroom.

Our day begins at 8:10 and ends at 3:03. Students are given schedules on the first day of classes.

Breakfast is served at the elementary school from 7:30-8:10. Menus for breakfast and lunch can be found on this website.

We would like to welcome Mr. John Turba to our staff. He takes over the Vocal Music Department from retiring Mr. Fritz!

ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS

Students can be involved in several activities while members of I-S Elementary School: Positive Behavior Committee (K-6), Student Council (6) School Store (5&6), Band (5&6), Chorus (6),  Safety Patrol (5&6), CATS (art club, 6), spelling bee (5&6), geography bee(5&6), chess and checkers tournaments (5&6), classroom plays, science fair or invention convention.
