Milk Rings

Each day we use ordinary "milk rings" (safety rings from gallons of milk) to talk about numbers and place value. When we get ten 1's, we bundle them up into a group of 10's. When we get ten 10's, we bundle them up into a group of 100. When we get ten 100's, we bundle them up into a group of 1000. Last year we had over 4,000 milk rings!
