Objectives: The students will understand the idea of a “shorter” story  scope

Activities: Storyboarding activity

Assignment: Storyboard drawings due tomorrow.

Objectives: The students will choose an appropriate scope to their story and begin drafting.

Activities:

• Lesson: Choosing the best scope

• After their packet, storyboards, and scope have all been approved, students will begin drafting their short stories

Assignment: Complete rough draft will be due Thursday, May 30th

Objectives: The students will understand strategies for beginning a short story

Activities:

• Lesson: Different ways to begin a short story.

• After determining their favored way of beginning, the students will draft their stories.
