College Bound Student Athletes
Beginning your freshman year, you needed to be scheduled with college preparatory classes so that, if you should end up choosing to participate in college sports at the Division I or II level, you would be eligible to play. There is a registration process that must be completed. Most of today's student athletes register on-line through their high school Counselor at the beginning of their senior year. Eligibility is determined by:
1. Number of core courses
2. A minimum grade point average in core courses
3. ACT or SAT sub scores in combination with your G.P.A.The website address is: https://web1.ncaa.org/eligibilitycenter/common/Some examples of Division III schools where this process is not necessary would be the UW system schools, except Green Bay, Madison and Milwaukee. Examples of Division II schools would be the Minnesota state school system. Examples of Division I schools would be the Big Ten schools.
