Like many Wisconsin school districts, Iola-Scandinavia faces financial challenges due to the state’s school funding system and ever-rising costs and inflation.
On Tuesday, April 7, voters in our community will consider renewing a non-recurring operational referendum. This funding tool will provide critical financial support that will allow I-S to avoid:
➡️ Reducing programs and services for students
➡️ Eliminating teachers and staff
➡️ Cutting some extracurricular activities
➡️ Delaying routine maintenance projects
Operational referendums have been in place at I-S for nearly a decade. More than half of all districts statewide have had referendums approved by voters in the past decade.
